  • The Spectres of Karøn →

    With the interval between ‘now’ and that which has been ‘preserved’ continuously shrinking; The Specters of Karøn explores a near future where the preservation of heritage demands a prospective character, rather than a retrospective one.

  • Creating Kibera →

    The increased development of informal settlements will be the dominant form of urbanization in most developing countries. The following thesis intends to present and comparatively analyze Kibera (Nairobi, Kenya) - the largest slum in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    This project feeds off this context and looks at mega parking structures as a potentially dominant typology in the future urban fabric of Santiago. Thus the need to reconfigure these spaces as crucial urban entities that stimulate a diversity of actions and interactions.

    The project hypothesizes that the new platform for conservation can become a democratic platform assembled from a continuous stream of data sent directly from the “community” in question.
